Frank Ford Simpson III

April 28, 1958 - October 4, 2011

Frank "Ford" Simpson lll, 53, passed away on October 4, 2011 at the Houston VA Hospital. He was born on April 28, 1958 in Nacogdoches to his late parents Frank Ford Simpson Jr. and birth mother Julia Louise Sherwood. 

A memorial service will be Friday, October 7th at 11:00 am at the Christ Episcopal Church in Nacogdoches with Rev. Castleberry officiating.

Ford was a graduate of Nacogdoches High School and studied Forestry at Stephen F. Austin State University. He lived most of his adult life in Las Vegas, Nevada and was a Gemologist for his step-fathers' jewelry store. He was a free spirit who loved and enjoyed each day of his life. He accepted life as it came neither questioning or complaining about what each day brought. 

Ford is survived by his mother, LaDonna Simpson; sister, Jennifer Simpson; daughters, Ashley Grasso and Courtney Chaplin of Las Vegas; aunt Frances (JuJu) Adams; niece, Oliva Kling as well as a host of other family members and friends.

A private inurnment will take place at a later date.
