Karl Gibson

Karl Gibson, 63, passed away on September 1, 2021. He was born on September 23, 1957, in Mexico City, Mexico, to William W. and Linde Gibson.
Karl graduated from Nacogdoches High School in May 1976 and graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor and master's degree in science.
He taught 33 years at Nacogdoches High School as a teacher in the Biology/CTE department. His greatest pleasure in life was teaching and working with his students and working in the extracurricular activities, such as the football games and UIL competitions.
Karl is survived by his father, William W. Gibson; two sisters, Becky Canty and husband, Stewart, and Diana Brittain and husband, Gary; nephews, David Canty and wife, Lauren, Stephen Canty and wife, Camille, and Jeremy Brittain; niece, Emily Brittain and husband, Kevin; and great-nephew, Charles Grayson Canty.
Karl is preceded in death by his mother, Linde Gibson.
The family of Karl Gibson would like to express their sincere gratitude for all the love, support, comments, and stories shown by the NHS administration, faculty, staff, students, and the community of Nacogdoches. He will be missed.
No service will be held at this time, but any memorials may be made to Westminister Presbyterian Church, Nacogdoches Animal Shelter/Humane Society, or a charity of your choice.
